Where to begin?
It has been a very busy week, and weekend, with various wedding-related gatherings, on top of zipping about to-and-fro on the moto around South Goa…lots of socializing, and lots of eating, with a good bit of drinking thrown in. Karaoke. High tea with Madame. Beach time.
I’ve been so wrapped up in Goa that didn’t even get a Weekend Confidential written this week – the first time I’ve missed that. Travel can get in the way of writing about travel. Apologies to my most supportive subscribers. I’ll make it up to you.
A Goan Catholic wedding is a complicated thing, and as with weddings everywhere, there were several events leading up to it, and after it, and I didn’t get to all of them. I was spared the three-hour wedding mass, all in Konkani, the indecipherable local language; but I got my fill of celebrations nonetheless – figuratively and literally.
